Sam Fender is an indie-rock musician and singer-songwriter from Newcastle.
Having grown up in a household of musicians, he began playing guitar at the age of 10 and was writing his own songs by 13. While playing frequent busking slots in small pubs, he caught the attention of Owain Davies, manager of Ben Howard, and the rest is history. He released his debut EP, 'Dead Boys', in 2018 and consequently won the coveted BRITs Critic's Choice Award in 2019. His debut album, 'Hypersonic Missiles', dropped later that year, with his second full-length, 'Seventeen Going Under', following in 2021, earning him the Alternative/Rock Act BRIT Award the following year and a nomination for the Mercury Prize. Sam Fender is set to play two HUGE hometown shows at Newcastle's St James' Park in June 2023, which will be followed by headline shows in Dublin and Belfast later that month, and a headline set at Glasgow's TRNSMT festival in July. He will then headline Reading & Leeds Festival in August 2023. Catch him live by checking tour dates and ticket information below on Stereoboard.
