The Membranes, Gengahr, The Mispers and Lonelady have joined Liverpool's Sound City line up.

Also added to this year's festival line up are Spring King, Tei Shei, God Damn and Hooton Tennis Club, who will join The Flaming Lips, Belle & Sebastian, The Vaccines, Roni Size Reprazent, the Thurston Moore Band, Gaz Coombes, Fucked Up, Evian Christ, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, the Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, Dum Dum Girls, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Stealing Sheep, Dutch Uncles, Slaves, All We Are, Jane Weaver, Dave McCabe & The Ramifications, the Serpent Power, Bad Breeding, Apes and Single Mothers.

The festival has announced four new stages for this year's event: The North Stage, The Cavern Stage, The Kraken Stage and The Record Store. Hundreds of signed and unsigned acts will play across the four.

Discussing the line up, Sound City CEO Dave Pichilingi said:

“This year’s line-up is the widest it has ever been. We have had band and artists applications into the thousands from over 25 different worldwide countries. It demonstrates how in just eight short years Sound City has become the ‘must play’ event for the best new music from around the globe."

Sound City will take over Liverpool's Docklands between May 22 and 24. Tickets are on sale now.
