The National To Release 'A Lot Of Sorrow' Vinyl Box Set In June

Thursday, 09 April 2015 Written by Laura Johnson

The National will release a vinyl box set, based around their track Sorrow, in June.

In May 2013 the band collaborated with artist Ragnar Kjartansson, who invited The National to play Sorrow live, repeatedly and continuously, for six hours. It is the recording of this that will be released as 1,500 limited edition vinyl boxed sets by 4AD on June 22.

The 'A Lot Of Sorrow' set will feature nine clear vinyl in clear sleeves held in a translucent, screen printed box. All profits will be donated to the charity Partners In Health.

Meanwhile, check out The National's new song, Sunshine On My Back, the quintet's first new offering since 2013's 'Trouble Will Find Me'.
