Somerset House Announce Summer Exhibition Dedicated To The Jam

Monday, 13 April 2015 Written by Laura Johnson

Somerset House have announced a summer exhibition dedicated to The Jam.

'The Jam: About the Young Idea' will follow the trio's journey from childhood to stardom and will be the first comprehensive exhibition based on the band. The band's three members have opened their archives for the event, which will also feature fan memorabilia.

The event will be curated by Paul Weller's sister and the former head of The Jam's fan club, Nicky Weller. Discussing the exhibition, Weller said:

"When we were in the band, I would never have thought that some 35-odd years later, there would be an exhibition in our name at Somerset House. How incredible it is to think of all the memorabilia from the band, our families and fans together in one place. What an honour."

The exhibition will run at Somerset House from June 26 to August 31. Tickets are on sale now, with prices starting from £9.50. Head here for more information.
