Ozzy: Black Sabbath's Farewell Tour And Album Will Happen In 2016

Wednesday, 29 April 2015 Written by Laura Johnson

Ozzy Osbourne has said that the Black Sabbath farewell tour and album will happen in 2016.

Osbourne discussed the band's future during a Monsters of Rock press conference in Brazil, reports Metal Hammer. The frontman said:

"The plan is that next year we'll do the final Black Sabbath tour and album. I'm not stopping. My wife spends all my money so I can't!"

Sabbath’s comeback album, ‘13’, arrived in 2013, while speculation over the band's status was sparked by the announcement, and subsequent cancellation, of a 'farewell' show at Ozzfest Japan later this year. Ozzy will now appear at the festival for a solo set.

The news also follows a time of uncertainty over Bill Ward's possible return to the band, following some heated exchanges with Osbourne. Head here for more details.
