Landshapes have shared the video for their single Ader.

The song features on the London quartet's most recent album, 'Heyoon', which is out now on Bella Union. The subject of the track is '70s visual artist Bas Jan Ader. Discussing him, Luisa Gerstein said:

“Ader’s project was a video of him crying. Underneath it just says ‘I’m too sad to tell you.’ And that’s all. People have speculated over what he’s sad about. That it could be the absolute loneliness of all humans and that you can never completely know another person.”

"His final project was called ‘Searching For The Miraculous’ - he built a little sailboat, said goodbye to his wife and sailed across the Atlantic. But he never made it and his boat was found several years later in Ireland, washed up.”

Check out the video below.

Landshapes play London's XOYO tonight, in support of Stealing Sheep. Following this they will play a string of shows across the UK, including performances at The Great Escape in Brighton, Cheltenham's Wynchwood Festival and Green Man.
