Big Band Leader And Composer James Last Dies Aged 86

The composer and big band leader James Last has died aged 86.
Last was born in Germany in 1929. In 1948, he became leader of the Last-Becker Ensemble. Following this he became an in-house arranger for Polydor Records.
Last went on to issue his own records, releasing 52 albums between 1967 and 1986. Last died at his home in Florida. His manager has said that he died "peacefully and in the presence of his family".
