The song, which you can check out below, is taken from his debut LP, 'The Demon Joke', which is due for release June 22 via Superball Music. Discussing it, he said:
"Retaliate is a big, dumb stomper rock tune. I wrote it for just bass and drums, then I asked Gambler to play the really perverted keyboard lines, then flung on the ridiculous and impossible guitar solo at the end. That solo is a real career highlight for me."
"Retaliate has a groove. You can kinda dance to it, despite it being in a weird time signature.”
Vennart will play a warm up show in Leeds prior to his appearance at 2000trees Festival on July 11. Following that he will play two headline shows in August - at the Firebug in Leicester and Colchester Arts Centre - and will also appear at Bristol's ArcTanGent festival on August 21.
