Tyler The Creator Cancels Australian Tour

Monday, 10 August 2015 Written by Jon Stickler

Tyler The Creator has cancelled his upcoming tour of Australia amid claims his music promotes violence against women.

The Odd Future star was due to tour Down Under off the back of his latest record, 'Cherry Bomb', however, after a campaign by feminist group Collective Shout, a statement issued by Frontier Touring has confirmed that the September dates will no longer go ahead.

"Frontier Touring regret to announce the cancellation of the Australian leg of Tyler The Creator's Cherry Bomb World Tour which was scheduled to begin next month. Frontier Touring sincerely apologises to all those affected by this cancellation."

Tyler added:

"We would much rather come to Australia when it isn't surrounded in controversy. I love my fans there and hopefully I'll be back soon.

"Don't do drugs."

Refunds will be made available from point of purchase.
