Sigur Rós have been announced for next summer’s Citadel Festival.
The Icelandic post-rock troupe will head to Victoria Park on July 17 to headline the Sunday night at the event’s second staging and have promised to include new material in their set.
“We are pleased and somewhat nervous to announce that we are playing Citadel next summer in the spirit of adventure, and all we can say right now is it’s going to be different, with new unreleased songs, a new show and maybe some other new things,” they said in a statement.
Tickets are on general sale at 9am on December 1.
