Blood Orange To Release New Album 'Freetown Sound' This Spring

Tuesday, 19 April 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

Blood Orange will release a new album, 'Freetown Sound', this spring.

Dev Hynes revealed his plans for the follow up to 2013's 'Cupid Deluxe' in a recent interview with V MagazineTalking with them he said:

"There are a lot of samples on this record, but not necessarily songs made from samples. It’s all me. It’s inspired by old Dust Brothers records, very cut and paste. It’s like my version of Paul’s Boutique. It kind of plays like a long mix tape."

Meanwhile, check out one of Hynes' more recent tracks, Sandra's Smile, below.
