A Dead Forest Index have released a video for Summit Down.
The track is taken from the sibling duo's debut album, 'In All That Drifts From Summit Down', which is due to arrive on April 29 through Sargent House. Discussing the video, director Teodora Castellucci said:
''Although we are far from the ancient sight and understanding of what is left behind from past cultures, we often perceive the sensitivity of our ancestors, intimately similar to ours, and their myths and rites as they were made by our deepest selves in another time and life. Although their original meanings have disappeared, and only the memory of a few elements remain, the traces that persist go far beyond the need of a meaning.
'The video is an attempt to make a visual exploration within an ancient mythology that, although does not belong to us anymore, is intimately felt. Life and death are here placed side by side suggesting a cyclical travel, an eternal rite of leaven and transformation. A sacral infinite expansion, an inexplicable sense of magnitude unfolds under the eye of a mythological god.''
A Dead Forest Index have also announced their first North American tour. They will be touring with Chelsea Wolfe from April 24 through to early June.
