MSTRKRFT To Return In July With 'Operator'

Friday, 13 May 2016 Written by Huw Baines

MSTRKRFT have announced details of their new record.

The follow up to ‘Fist of God’ is called ‘Operator’ and is out on July 22 through Last Gang.

The duo - Al-P and Death From Above 1979’s Jesse F. Keeler - have also shared their new single, Party Line, which features vocals from Ian Svenonius of Nation of Ulysses, The Make-Up and Chain and the Gang. In a statement, they said:

“Ian Svenonius was someone who we had wanted to collaborate with for a long time. It wasn’t until we started writing ‘Operator’ that we realized this would be the project. We had a really strong instrumental piece with the working title Party Line that demanded a vocal with a certain swagger. Ian was able re-contextualize the title and make it work with the lyrics he wrote, which became something we connected with personally, and fit perfectly with the entire album as a body of work.”
