The Boxer Rebellion have shared a video for Weapon.
The track is the opener of their new album, 'Ocean By Ocean', which came out in April. Discussing how the current visual links with the previous for Big Ideas, director/animator Adam Avilla explained:
"I wanted to create a visual dance between the two characters who are both each other's salvation as well as each other's demise. The song and story lent itself to the classic archetypes of the grizzled detective and the femme fatale; both strong but troubled characters who carry a cloud of doom about them.”
The band added:
"We recorded much of the album in Los Angeles and wanted to preserve some of that atmosphere in the album artwork and the video story that links Big Ideas to Weapon. Adam Avilla's vision captures not only the SoCal feeling but also addresses the noiresque aspects of the songs themselves.”
The Boxer Rebellion have lined up four UK winter shows, with stops at Gorilla in Manchester, the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds and the Haunt in Brighton before their already confirmed London date at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on December 7, as part of a winter European tour. Tickets are on sale now.
