Jodie Abacus Shares Video For New Single I'll Be That Friend

Jodie Abacus has shared a video for his new single, I'll Be That Friend.
The track will be released on September 2 through Household Records. Discussing its troubled genesis, he said:
"By the end of that year I wished I could still have the pneumonia instead of such bad heartache. I was crumbling, sitting in an empty room, just me and a bed and my keyboard. I started playing and crying at the same time. I felt like, if I was looking from the outside at this situation, I would give that person a really, really big hug and say it's all right. That's when I wrote I'll Be That Friend."

Jodie Abacus will support Laura Mvula at her Somerset House Summer Series show on July 10, following which he will call at Truck Festival, Lovebox, Secret Garden Party and V Festival.
The south London pop-funk singer has also set up his debut headlining tour of the UK for this autumn. He will be joined by Ekkah and the Age Of L.U.N.A at Manchester's Deaf Institute, Glasgow's King Tuts, the Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds and London's Jazz Cafe between September 25 and 29. Tickets are on sale now.
