The song is lifted from the band's new album, 'Act V: Hymns With The Devil In Confessional', which came out on September 9 through Cave & Canary Goods/Equal Vision Records/Rude Records, a year after 'Act IV: Rebirth In Reprise'.
Discussing working with the band on the track's visual, director Erez Bader said:
“For as long as I can remember it has been my biggest dream to bring The Dear Hunter's concept of The Acts to life. I feel as if every obstacle that I've ever had to overcome in my life, film-related or not, has led me to this project. I'm honoured that the band and management put their faith in our incredibly bonkers script for Gloria, I'm sure it was quite staggering to be handed a full-on short film screenplay as a music video treatment. Music videos are one of the last bastions for experimental filmmaking and it's a shame that doing an ambitious project like this is mostly unheard of nowadays. I very much hope that this project inspires other filmmakers and musicians to collaborate on a large scale more frequently.”
