The Growlers Release Video For I'll Be Around

Tuesday, 18 October 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

The Growlers have released a video for I'll Be Around.

The song is lifted from their new, Julian Casablancas-produced album, 'City Club', which came out in September via the Strokes frontman's label, Cult Records.

Check out the clip, directed by Warren Fu, below.

The California garage rockers will play their first UK show in two years this autumn when they head to south London's Electric Brixton on November 15. Tickets are on sale now, priced at £17.00 plus fees.

The band recently confirmed that drummer Scott Montoya had left the band and would not be appearing with them at their US shows, nor would bassist Stonio, though the latter is set to return soon.

The Growlers Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Tue November 15 2016 - LONDON Electric Brixton

Tool - Fear Inoculum (Album Review)
Fri 06 Sep 2019
Photo: Travis Shinn If you’ve waited a long time for something, you might as well spend a long time with it once it finally arrives, right? Tool’s return, after a 13 year absence that amounted to torture for their committed following, is a slow moving, dense work defined by its patient approach. Its steadfast insistence on hitting its marks in its own time, and skipping zero pages in the band’s playbook, will delight diehards.
Ezra Furman - Twelve Nudes (Album Review)
Wed 04 Sep 2019
Seeking to stay true to a punk aesthetic, Ezra Furman and band recorded ‘Twelve Nudes’ at a rapid pace with creative help from booze and cigarettes. And it shows. It doesn’t deliver the production finesse of 2018’s ‘Transangelic Exodus’, but that’s kind of the point.

Fri 13 Sep 2019
Well, the new Bat for Lashes album is superb. Natasha Khan has mapped out a magical synth voyage into 1980s teen sci-fi horror, which marries her Home Counties purr with the 35mm joy of a Hollywood sound stage.
