Aphex Twin Set To Play Field Day

Monday, 28 November 2016 Written by Huw Baines

Aphex Twin will headline a new indoor stage at next year's Field Day.

After a weekend spent teasing the producer's set on social media, organisers have confirmed that he will top the bill at The Barn on June 3.

The festival is again set to take over Victoria Park in London, but will run for a single day rather than a weekend. Field Day co-founder Tom Baker said in a statement:

“It's truly amazing to have Aphex Twin headline Field Day, I've been listening to him since I was 16, he played and curated some of the first ever Eat Your Own Ears nights (the most memorable being a warehouse on Brick Lane that got closed down by the police!) so it's an incredible honour to have him play our brand new indoor monolithic second main stage arena…It will be a phenomenal, mind blowing, mesmerisingly, fantastic two hours of absolute genius….AFX WOW.”

Tickets are on sale at 9am on December 1.
