Get Inuit Unveil New Track Barbiturates

Thursday, 05 January 2017 Written by Laura Johnson

Get Inuit have unveiled a new track, Barbiturates.

Discussing the song with Noisey, who premiered it, vocalist Jamie Glass said:

"The song is broadly about someone slowly but surely becoming dependent on a drug to live a normal life. The song depicts a person's need to take barbiturates to be able to function and move without pain whilst also becoming addicted. The music is meant to characterize the mood swings that a person goes through when needing sedation, with heavy guitar and screams representing the pain and mental anguish, with the quiet sections showing a more controlled state."

The Kent quartet will play a show at the Lexington in London later this month. Tickets are on sale now.
