Billy Corgan Announces 'Thirty Days' Project

Wednesday, 11 January 2017 Written by Laura Johnson

Billy Corgan has announced a new project, 'Thirty Days'.

In a video post on The Smashing Pumpkins' Facebook page he revealed that his plan is to travel across America for 30 days and film and upload footage in real time, as well as releasing edited material. He confirmed that he will not be following any pre-set route, though he did mention possibly calling in Carolina, Louisiana and Texas.

He explained there were three parts to the project, the first being '50 by 50', which would see him choose 50 of his favourite tracks that he's written, the second would be the sharing of cover songs, with the aim of eventually releasing a covers album, and, finally, giving fans an insight into his creative process.

Corgan also confirmed that his previously announced Rick Rubin-produced solo album is due to arrive in April or May.
