Tear Announce Mini Album 'VINYL01', Share New Track Careless Again

Tear have announced a new mini album, 'VINYL01'.
The seven track release will arrive on March 17 via Tim Burgess' label O Genesis Recordings. It was recorded in two parts, with the Charlatans' Tim Burgess and Jim Spencer at Big Mushroom studio in Cheshire, and later with Victoria Freund, of Cajun Dance Party, at Bark Studios. Speaking about it, vocalist Camille said:
"They're sort of about trying to wish someone out of a coma and will them back to life. Within that though, they're also written about the trauma of break ups and I'm perpetually preoccupied with this idea of waiting for something to happen and getting what you want."
Discussing cut Careless Again, which you can check out below, Camille continued:
"I wrote parts of this a long time ago. It started off as a love song and then when my brother died I finished writing it, so now it feels like it's about that too, maybe more so. I find it intense to sing live and if anyone talks during the quiet bits I feel like I'm gonna jump off stage and kick them in the head, although mostly I just death stare them until they stop."
Tear will play the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall with Tim Burgess and the Pheromoans on January 23 as part of Independent Venue Week. The band have also lined up shows next month in Leeds and Hull. Tickets are on sale now.
