Blood Youth Stream New Single Making Waves

Monday, 27 February 2017 Written by Laura Johnson

Blood Youth are streaming a new single, Making Waves.

The track is cut from their debut album, ‘Beyond Repair’, which is due to arrive on April 7 via Rude Records. Discussing the song, vocalist Kaya Tarsus said:

“Making Waves is about numbing the pain, erasing memories and the conversations I had with strangers when I was at a very low point. It's about a time when I was living on my own, depressed with no distractions. I found myself just constantly thinking about everything I was going through. I thought that I could fix this by going out every single night, sometimes on my own, just so I could distract myself for a few hours. Ironically, I would always end up feeling so much worse in the morning. Making Waves was actually the first track written for 'Beyond Repair' and inspired the entire album theme.”

The Harrogate-based band will follow up the record's release with a trio of UK shows. They will also play Download and Bristol’s Fat Lip festival this summer.

Blood Youth Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Sat April 08 2017 - GLASGOW Attic
Sun April 09 2017 - LEEDS Key Club
Mon April 10 2017 - LONDON Boston Music Room
