Discussing the song, which was recorded at the Beastie Boys’ Oscilloscope studio in New York City, Jordan Cardy said:
“Revolution is about life as a young person growing up in a post-Brexit Essex. It’s about feeling trapped.”
Rat Boy will head out on the Scum UK tour next month, calling in Glasgow, Leeds, Newcastle, Stoke, Oxford, Norwich, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and London, where he'll play the Roundhouse. The tour shares its name with his upcoming debut album, which is expected to arrive in August.
Cardy has also recently been confirmed for The Great Escape in May.
