Pearl Jam have shared a Brandi Carlile cover, Again Today.
The track was recorded for a new album in aid of War Child UK. 'Cover Stories: Brandi Carlile Celebrates 10 Years of The Story – An Album to Benefit War Child', which is due out on May 5 through Legacy Records, and will feature covers of songs from her 2007 album 'The Story' by Dolly Parton, Adele, Kris Kristofferson and Torres, among others.
Discussing their contribution, Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready said:
"It was an honor for Pearl Jam to re-record Brandi Carlile’s 'Again Today’ for the Cover Stories album benefiting War Child. We are grateful to artists like Brandi for organizing meaningful projects like this one to help mitigate some of the pain and suffering experienced by children in war torn countries around the world. We have long been supporters of War Child and are huge fans of Brandi as both a musician and a human being.”
Carlile and her band the Twins have lined up a run of US dates to celebrate the release of the album. The An Acoustic Evening with Brandi Carlile Performing The Story in Its Entirety and More run will kick off on April 21 in Birmingham, AL and finish up in San Francisco on May 6.
