Lacuna Coil have unveiled a video for You Love Me 'Cause I Hate You.
The song is lifted from the Italian goth-metal band's eighth studio album, 'Delirium', the follow up to 2014's 'Broken Crown Halo', which was released last spring.
Discussing the video, which is one of two conceptual visuals created by Cosimo Alemà for the band, vocalist Cristina Scabbia said:
“The videos we shot with Cosimo Alemà are exactly what we wanted to deliver visually, especially if connected with a record like ’Delirium’. The darkness, the intensity, the script itself are taking the viewer to the dimension we wanted to be transported to. ‘You Love Me 'Cause I Hate You’ and ‘Blood, Tears, Dust’ are tightened together in a twisted story that I like a lot as there is so much that can be defined with each one’s imagination. Interpreting different characters was also exciting, an interesting challenge I hadn’t faced until then. I hope the viewers can capture the magic we breathed while we shot them.”
Following a number of festival appearances this summer, Lacuna Coil will join Epica on the North American leg of their Ultimate Principal Tour between August 31 and September 29.
