The Horrors Confirm Autumn UK Tour, Announce New Album 'V'

Wednesday, 28 June 2017 Written by Jon Stickler

The Horrors have announced a UK tour and the release of their fifth album, 'V'.

Having shared the record's lead single Machine earlier this month, the band will release the follow up to 2014's 'Luminous' on September 22 prior to embarking on a run of UK and European dates, including stops in Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Brighton and London, where they'll play KOKO on October 29.

The band have also unveiled the record's artwork and tracklist. Speaking of the band's new sound, vocalist Faris Badwan said:

"It is a risk but life isn’t much fun without risk. It’s the antithesis of being creative if you know what you’re going to be doing every time.”

Keyboardist Tom Cowan added:

"It’s natural, if you do see yourself as an artist, to progress and not play it safe. Bowie pre-empted the modern condition of not being able to stay in one place for very long, and I get frustrated with bands who stay still. Because then it does become a career."
