Arcane Roots Share Video For New Single Off The Floor, Announce UK And Ireland Tour Supports

Tuesday, 18 July 2017 Written by Laura Johnson

Arcane Roots have shared a video for their new single and announced supports for their upcoming UK and Ireland tour.

Off The Floor is cut from 'Melancholia Hymns', the follow up to their 2015 'Heaven & Earth' EP, which is due for release on September 15.

Discussing the song, frontman Andrew Groves said:

"Off The Floor was the very first time we had ever openly written about politics. Current world events had become an almost unavoidable weight over us during the writing of Melancholia Hymns, and where it would usually be something we would shy away from, it felt like now more than ever that we had a duty to speak up. Never before had it felt like something could actually change and that we had a responsibility to encourage people to vote and make a difference. Musically, we wanted to write something that felt at home on a festival stage but was structured more electronically, with a constant build towards as big of a riff/drop as we could dream up. "

They will be joined by Good Tiger and Gold Key for shows in London, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Liverpool, Brighton and Bristol this October. Good Tiger will also support them on their European dates. Tickets are on sale now.

Arcane Roots are also set to perform at Truck Festival this weekend and Reading and Leeds next month.
