The track is cut from their self-titled debut LP, which is due to arrive on September 1, and arrives ahead of their appearance at Reading and Leeds this weekend.
In a statement about the song, the band said:
“Stupid Things is a song for daydreamers. It’s about a love that exists outside of reality, it’s a romanticism you’ve created in your own head - but in the real world you have never even spoken to this person you think you know so well. It’s a school crush that feels like it will last forever. And it’s our very own coming of age soundtrack.”
The band will also support the record with a headline UK tour, calling in Newcastle, Glasgow, Leeds, Sheffield, Stoke, Liverpool, Birmingham, Leicester, Bristol, Nottingham, Cardiff, Oxford, London, Brighton and Southampton between September 30 and October 19. Tickets are on sale now.
