Gulp Share New Single Morning Velvet Sky

Tuesday, 26 September 2017 Written by Laura Johnson

Gulp have shared a new single, Morning Velvet Sky.

The track, which was mixed by Luke Abbott, is available now digitally, with a 12” vinyl release via E.L.K. Records set to follow on December 1. It will feature on the band's forthcoming new album, which is expected to arrive in early 2018.

Speaking about the song, the Cardiff-based band, made up of vocalist Lindsey Leven and Super Furry Animals' Guto Pryce, said:

"Morning Velvet Sky is a song about dawn, with arpeggiating machines. The intent of Morning Velvet Sky is to wrap the listener in a blanket of the fuzzy feeling created by waking up on a warm dewy morning and having appreciation for the beauty in nature when things may not be perfect."
