Spinal Tap's Derek Smalls Announces Star-Studded Debut Solo Album

Derek Smalls, formerly of Spinal Tap, has announced details of 'Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing)'.

The pledge-funded LP will launch on April 13 via Twanky Records/BMG and boasts guest appearances from Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Rick Wakeman, Toto's Steve Lukather, David Crosby, Steely Dan's Donald Fagen, Dweezil Zappa and Peter Frampton.

To celebrate the news, Smalls has unveiled the video for the record's title track and confirmed he will support the record with the Lukewarm Water Live: An Adventure in Loud Music Tour in the US this spring and summer. Further dates are expected to be announced soon.
