The song is the latest to be lifted from 'Be More Kind', the follow up to last year's greatest hits collection 'Songbook', which is set to arrive on May 4.
Speaking about the track, Turner said:
“[Blackout] is new territory for me, musically - a song you could even play in a club, it's about how we might collectively respond to social dislocation and collapse…”
