Idles Announce Second LP 'Joy As An Act Of Resistance' And World Tour Dates

Idles have confirmed details of their upcoming second LP, 'Joy as an Act of Resistance'.
The Bristol post-punks will release the follow up to their 2017 debut, 'Brutalism', on August 31 through Partisan Records. Speaking about the record, singer Joe Talbot said:
"This album is an attempt to be vulnerable to our audience and to encourage vulnerability; a brave naked smile in this shitty new world. We have stripped back the songs and lyrics to our bare flesh to allow each other to breathe, to celebrate our differences, and act as an ode to communities and the individuals that forge them. Because without our community, we’d be nothing."
The band have also shared the album’s cover art, tracklist and new single, Danny Nedelko, which takes its name from one of the band’s close friends and follows the previously shared opening track, Colossus. Take a look at the self-directed video, which features Danny himself, below.

Idles will support the album with their first world tour this autumn. The run includes their biggest London headline show yet at the O2 Forum on October 18, while tickets go on general sale at 10am on June 8.
