Representative Confirms Demi Lovato 'Awake' Following Suspected Drug Overdose

Representatives for Demi Lovato have confirmed that the artist is awake after being hospitalised for a suspected drug overdose.
In a statement released to Variety, they said: “Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers, and support.
“Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
Breaking the story, TMZ suggested that Lovato had suffered a heroin overdose, but multiple reports have since claimed that is not the case.
Lovato’s performance as part of Atlantic City Beachfest on July 26 has been cancelled.
