Petrol Girls Announce New EP 'The Future Is Dark' And European Tour

Petrol Girls have announced a new EP and European tour.
'The Future Is Dark', the follow up to 2016's 'Talk Of Violence', is due out on September 14 through Hassle Records and will feature the previously released single Survivor.
Discussing the EP's title, which was inspired by Woolf’s Darkness by Rebecca Solnit, vocalist Ren Aldridge said:
“We wrote the EP right in the middle of the political shit storm that was 2017, and Rebecca Solnit’s writing definitely helped me to not become totally overwhelmed! It really helped me to zoom out and to see each political battle as part of a bigger movement with a history of slowly pushing things in a better direction. It makes me feel tiny but part of something huge, like when its dark but you look up and there’s loads of stars.”
The band will appear at Reading and Leeds festival in August and will embark on a headline European tour in September and October, including sets at Loud Women Fest in London and the Mother's Ruin in Bristol. Check below for full dates.
