Culture Club Detail New Album 'Life' And Share Single Let Somebody Love You

Tuesday, 31 July 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

Culture Club will release a new album prior to their previously announced arena tour this autumn.

The band, fronted by the iconic Boy George, with Roy Hay, Mikey Craig and Jon Moss, will put out the long awaited 'Life' on October 26 via George's own label, VG (Very Good) Records. It's their first studio album of orginal material in nearly 20 years and follows 2016's news of a shelved effort.

To celebrate the announcement, the band have shared a new single, Let Somebody Love You, a live fixture that's received the studio treatment for the first time. Take a look at the album's cover art and stream the new song below.

Catch new material from what will be their sixth album to date plus their classic chart-topping hits from the 1980s, including Do You Really Want To Hurt Me and Karma Chameleon, when George and band bring the Life tour to the UK this autumn. Support will come from Belinda Carlisle and Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey.

Ariana Grande - Sweetener (Album Review)
Wed 22 Aug 2018
‘Sweetener’ is a 15 track, pop-centric fourth album from Ariana Grande. While no direct reference is made to the events or emotions she experienced following the bombing at her Manchester concert in the spring of last year, here she stands as a mature woman characterised by strength and self-confidence. What resonates is a sense of calm.

Photo: Greg Gorman Jake Shears’ debut solo record is a sprawling smorgasbord of musical flavours that should remind listeners of his band-leading and songwriting expertise. It’s an album bristling with confidence and brio that develops on his work with Scissor Sisters while isolating and identifying Shears’ own distinctive voice.
