Weakened Friends Release Mid-20s Angst on New Track Blue Again

Wednesday, 22 August 2018 Written by Helen Payne

When it comes to mid-20s angst, sometimes you just have to smash some things up.

That’s exactly what Weakened Friends do in their sheep-mask-clad video for Blue Again. Coming in at exactly three minutes, the fuzzy guitar track discusses feelings of happiness, trying to make others happy, and whether that in turn makes you happy. Plot twist: it doesn’t.

Sonia Sturino’s screeching, wavering, almost animalistic vocals prove that, when she screams “I will never come first”. Blue Again comes from Weakened Friends’ upcoming full length, ‘Common Blah’, a fittingly self-deprecating indie rock LP due for release on October 19 through Don Giovanni.
