Disclosure Throwback To The '80s With New Single Love Can Be So Hard

Thursday, 23 August 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

Disclosure have released yet another new single.

Love Can Be So Hard is their third new offering in the last three days, following Moonlight and Where Angels Fear To Tread. Again they have taken a decades-old track, Princess's 1985 hit Say I'm Your Number One, and given it a modern day make over, complete with new samples.

Introducing the single online, they said:

"Taking you on a throwback 80’s vibe today with Love Can Be So Hard... https://disclosure.lnk.to/LCBSHFP
Inspired by our love of 80’s pop artists like Alexander O’Neal and Luther Vandross, we chopped and flipped this old classic by Princess on its head! Hope it’s to your liking."

The duo have also announced the release of what we expect is another new song on August 23. Funky Sensation is set to premiere at 10.10am on Lauren Laverne's BBC Radio 6 Music show.

UPDATE: New track Funky Sensation is now streaming. Introducing it online, they said:

"Hello humans of the world, thanks for listening to 'Love Can Be So Hard' yesterday. And now, here’s 'Funky Sensation' https://disclosure.lnk.to/FunkySensationFP
Inspired by our immense love of Disco music, we took one of our favourite remixers - Alkalino's - version of this classic song by Gwen McCrae and flipped it again! Hope this one gets you moving."
