The Smashing Pumpkins have released a new song, Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts).

The track follows their previously shared single, Solora, which arrived earlier this summer marking the band's first recording in over 18 years to feature founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin. Longtime guitarist for the band Jeff Schroeder, bassist Jack Bates and keyboardist Katie Cole complete the line up.

It will feature on their Rick Rubin-produced new album, 'Shiny And Oh So Bright Vol. 1/ LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun', which is due for release on November 16. The record will be the first under the Smashing Pumpkins moniker since 2014's 'Monuments To An Elegy', which did not feature Iha, Chamberlin, Bates or Cole.

Head below to listen to the single, which is remiscent of their 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness' era, in particular the 'Twilight to Starlight' side of the 1995 album, which included tracks such as 1979 and Thirty-Three.

The band recently wrapped up the first North American leg of their Shiny And Oh So Bright tour, which is set to hit the UK and Europe this autumn, calling at the SSE Arena Wembley on October 16 before heading to the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy on October 18. The tour coincides with the 30th anniversary of their formation.

The Smashing Pumpkins Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Tue October 16 2018 - LONDON SSE Arena, Wembley
Thu October 18 2018 - BOLOGNA Unipol Arena (Italy)
