Sharon Van Etten is back.
The singer-songwriter will release her fourth album, and follow up to 2014’s ‘Are We There’, on January 18 through Jagjaguwar. ‘Remind Me Tomorrow’ runs to 10 tracks and was written while Van Etten was pregnant, studying psychology, pursuing an acting gig on the OA and alongside soundtrack work with Katherine Dieckmann and Tig Notaro. The LP was arranged alongside producer John Congleton.
"I want to be a mom, a singer, an actress, go to school," she said. "But yeah, I have a stain on my shirt, oatmeal in my hair and I feel like a mess, but I'm here. Doing it. This record is about pursuing your passions."
Head below to stream its lead single, Comeback Kid, which will serve as a jolt to long-time fans. Driven by synths and a busy tempo, it pushes Van Etten’s voice and melodies into fresh territory, winding up in a euphoric middle eight. “It's going to be challenging for people in a good way,” she added.
