Jaws Return With New Music From Third Album 'The Ceiling' And Announce UK Tour

Wednesday, 28 November 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

Jaws will return with a new album and accompanying tour dates in spring.

The Birmingham dream-pop trio will drop their third album 'The Ceiling' on April 5. Head below to view the album's artwork, tracklist and watch the video for its opening lead single, Driving At Night, which was directed by Morgan Tedd. Discussing the album and new track, frontman and guitarist Connor Schofield said:

"Lyrically The Ceiling is generally about feeling a bit lost, I think as you grow up everything feels like its moving along a lot quicker; friends, relationships, life can all seem to move at 100mph. Sometimes we forget that its OK to stand still for a bit sometimes and actually breathe. A lot of these songs are about dealing with that. Musically I think we’ve surprised even ourselves with it, we’ve gone down paths we haven’t taken before and ended up with something we’re really very excited about.

"Driving at Night follows the general theme of the record. I wrote it while thinking a lot about my hometown of Birmingham and I think it sets the tone perfectly for the rest of the record."

As well as the new album, Jaws have also announce a UK tour for April, with stops lined up in Glasgow, London, Manchester and Birmingham. Tickets go on sale at 10am on November 30.
