The Raconteurs Break Decade-Long Silence With New Tracks Sunday Driver and Now That You're Gone

Wednesday, 19 December 2018 Written by Huw Baines

The Raconteurs are back.

Breaking a decade-long silence the quartet—Jack White, Brendan Benson, Patrick Keeler and Jack Lawrence—have released two new songs: Sunday Driver and Now That You’re Gone. The tracks have been issued as a 7” alongside a reissue of the group’s second LP ‘Consolers of the Lonely’ through White’s Third Man Records' Vault subscription series.

Recorded during sessions for a new Raconteurs album, expected in 2019, both underline the loose-limbed rock cred that the band established during their initial run, with White taking the lead on the the riffy Sunday Driver and Benson helming Now That You’re Gone, a languid lament worthy of its title.
