Amon Amarth Confirm UK Dates With Arch Enemy As Part Of Autumn European Tour

Monday, 17 June 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

Amon Amarth are set to tour the UK and Europe this autumn.

The Swedish metallers will take over the O2 Academy Birmingham, Manchester's O2 Apollo, and the O2 Academy Brixton, London on November 28, 29 and 30 respectively. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on June 21. The band's biggest and most ambitious production to date will also head across mainland Europe between November 14 and December 15.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of their appearance at the UK's Download festival over the weekend and the release of their 11th studio album, 'Berserker', which landed last month via Metal Blade Records/Sony Music.

Joining Amon Amarth for the three UK dates will be special guests Arch Enemy, touring behind 2017's 'Will To Power', as well as legendary death metallers Hypocrisy. Additional guests in other countries are to be confirmed in due course. The band said:

"We cannot wait to return to Europe and tour the UK with our fellow Swedish Berserkers Arch Enemy and Hypocrisy. We will be bringing our biggest headlining show yet and this truly is going to be an epic heavy metal party that is not to be missed!"

Amon Amarth Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Mon June 17 2019 - LIMERICK King Johns Castle
Thu November 28 2019 - BIRMINGHAM O2 Academy Birmingham
Fri November 29 2019 - MANCHESTER O2 Apollo

The end of any decade is, essentially, meaningless. We attach poignancy to it because we’re all narcissists in some way—we want this decade, our decade, to stand for something. Musically, the ‘90s did a better job than some of its peers in allowing us to think that: young people were swept up by grunge, or the gloss of modern R&B, or punk’s chart explosion, or the battle between the east and west coasts.
