Ashton Irwin has released a new single.
Have U Found What Ur Looking For? is an earworm soft rock track that showcases the 5 Seconds Of Summer drummer's impressive vocal range. It's the second cut to be shared from Irwin's debut solo album, ‘Superbloom’, due out on October 23. He said:
“We wrote the song in an hour and it inspired my mission statement for my whole year. We were like, ‘oh my God, we could actually make a record in quarantine’. It made us chase it down like a pack of wolves. With its mix of heavy guitars, dreamy soundscapes, indelible hook and lyrics about finding your way out of the abyss, it set a template for the record both sonically and thematically. It has a positive uplifting tone but it’s also about being in a fog of depression”
5 Seconds Of Summer, meanwhile, dropped 'C A L M' in March and reached #1 on the Official UK Albums Chart. They're set to support the album with a rescheduled world tour throughout 2021, which will include shows in the UK, Europe, North America and Australia. Remaining tickets are on sale now.
