Wild Pink have announced their fourth album.

'ILYSM', the follow-up to 2021's 'A Billion Little Lights', will arrive on October 14 through Royal Mountain Records. The record was co-produced by the band's vocalist and guitarist John Ross, Justin Pizzoferrato (who's previously worked with Pixies, Body/Head, Speedy Ortiz) and Peter Silberman of The Antlers.

The album also features guest spots from Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis, Julien Baker, Ryley Walker, Yasmin Williams, Samantha Crain and more among its 12 tracks, some of which detail Ross' recent struggle with cancer.

Alongside news of the record, the Brooklyn band have shared its title track, a serene indie-rock number. Ross said:

"This song, like a few others on this record, takes place where I live and the field next to it. A full moon will light up all the rooms here in a way I’ve never really seen and I feel like this song wrote itself a little bit. This album is about love in its many forms and this song in particular is a metaphor for love and obsession."

The song arrives with a 'visualizer' created by John Smith, who added:

"These animations were created using machine learning, specifically with the new, much-buzzed about Dall-E-2 model. The imagery of the specific clips were directly inspired by different lyrical lines or references, then edited together to make an experimental animation - perhaps one of the first animations using this new model. Early in the pandemic I started a deep dive learning about how I could use and utilize machine learning in my creative practice, and I found that it can be a very exciting and expressive tool for image making."

Check out the clip below, alongside the record's artwork and tracklist. Wild Pink will support the release with a tour of the same name that will head to the UK and Ireland this autumn, with North American dates lined up either side of those shows and running until the end of the year. Tickets for the UK and Ireland go on sale at 10am on July 29.
