As part of his celebrations to mark 40 years in music, Billy Bragg has announced UK and Ireland shows for The Roaring Forty Tour.

The folk-punk legend will call in Brighton, Portsmouth, Cambridge, Cork, Dublin, Belfast, Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh, Manchester, Gateshead, Nottingham, Bristol and London between November 14 and December 6. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on March 31. He commented:

"Doesn’t seem like just that long ago that I was playing Thursday nights at the Tunnel in Greenwich, opening for whoever was headlining that night. I learned my chops there in late 82 / early83 and I’m still putting those lessons to good use 40 years later. Hope to see some of you on the Roaring Forty Tour this autumn."

Alongside the news, the 65-year-old has announced a career spanning 14-disc deluxe boxset, 'The Roaring Forty | 1983-2023', which is scheduled to arrive on October 27.

Bragg will also play the O2 Academy Oxford in May, and appear at All Together Now festival in Portlaw, Ireland in August. His last album was 2021's 'The Million Things That Never Happened'.
