The Hives Drop Two New Singles Trapdoor Solution And The Bomb

The Hives have released a pair of new singles, Trapdoor Solution and The Bomb.
The former is a raucous punk affair that clocks in at just over one minute, while the latter is centred around a shout-along hook over relentless percussion and driving guitars.
Both will feature on the band's upcoming album, 'The Death of Randy Fitzimmons', along with the previously shared singles Rigor Mortis Radio, Countdown To Shutdown and Bogus Operandi. The follow-up to 2012's 'Lex Hives', and their 2020 'Live At Third Man Records' LP, is due out on August 11.
The Swedish rockers will support it with a tour of the same name, which kicks off with shows across Europe in September, followed by a North American run later in the year. They also have the UK and Ireland dates scheduled for spring 2024.
Ahead of their dates, they'll play a matinée and late show at Banquet Records in Kingston the day after the record drops.
