Citizen have dropped a new song, When I Let You Down.

Propelled by relentless percussion and effervescent jangly guitars, the driving track will appear on their new LP, 'Calling The Dogs', due out on October 6, alongside the previously posted cuts If You’re Lonely and Hyper Trophy.

Exploring band leader Mat Kerekes' relationships through lyrics that reflect on the past, it comes paired with a video featuring footage of Citizen on tour. Kerekes commented:

"When you talk to an old friend and they can only say, ‘remember when,’ it makes me really sad. It’s a very subtle way of showing the friendship has died. Some people are a bit lost in life and this song is to encourage them to move on from the past and make new memories."

They'll support the LP with a North American tour, kicking off in Indianapolis on October 18 and including an appearance at When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas. They'll bring the trek to the UK and Europe in February 2024. Tickets are on sale.
