Laura Veirs has released a new single, Creatures of a Day.

The gentle acoustic song arrives with a video directed by Annelyse Gelman, and serves as the opening track of the singer-songwriter's new album, 'Phone Orphans', out on November 3 via Raven Marching Band Records. Veirs said:

"Creatures of a Day is about how sadness and beauty are linked in the ephemeral nature of life. My kids and I visited a farm and played with some very cute baby goats for this video."

It follows the record's lead single, Rocks Of Time, which arrived alongside details of the record in September.

Veirs has shows in the UK and Ireland lined up for November, as well as US dates with Karl Blau.
