Led by his recognisable soulful vocals, the upbeat R&B-leaning track incorporates themes of love and relationships. It follows the Southampton's artist's 2024 single, In Your Hands, which marked his first new solo music since his 2022 album '22'. He said:
"There’s a time in life when you come to a point of realisation that all of the playing it safe, being cautious and guarded around opening our hearts up to love, doesn’t work. Even if we have been hurt before. SOS is all about that moment of feeling vulnerable, yet ready and open to taking a risk, a leap of faith to let someone know you are finally ready to let love in, however scary it may feel."
It arrives ahead of the singer's Commitment Tour, which will see him play UK arena shows during February with special guest Lemar.
He'll also play a major TS5 show at Colchester Castle Park on August 16, as part of the venue's summer series, before appearances at Tunes In The Park in Saltash and Victorious Festival in Portsmouth. Tickets are on sale now.
