Melanie Martinez has announced a North American and European tour for the summer, billed as HADES: THE SACRIFICE.
Inspired by her new album 'HADES', the arena trek will kick off with shows across North America between July 15 and August 14, beginning in Saint Paul, Minnesota and wrapping up in Los Angeles, California.
The European leg will follow later in the summer and features stops in Amsterdam, Paris, Milan, Frankfurt, Brussels, Krakow, Prague and Hamburg, alongside UK shows at London's O2 Arena and Manchester's Co-op Live on September 11 and 12, respectively.
Tickets go on general sale at 12pm local time on April 24. Martinez said:
"When writing 'HADES', I knew the tour for this album had to be immersive and cinematic. Creating a new character and thinking of how she’ll be performing in this new world is so exciting. This tour is very different to anything I’ve done before and involves more practical elements and camera illusions that I’m really excited about. We’re working on making sure each song gets their moment. I hope it can bring people together under these strange dystopian times we’re living in."
The New York-born Latin-American alt-pop star released the follow-up to 2023's 'Portals' last month via Atlantic Records. She recently celebrated the record, her fourth to date, with a series of intimate performances in New York City, Mexico City and Los Angeles, where she performed it live with a full band and string section.
